The UO Bookstore presents a reading, signing and reception with Lauren Kessler, featuring her latest book, Raising the Barre: Big Dreams, False Starts and My Midlife Quest to Dance the Nutcracker. The event also includes a short performance by The Eugene Youth Ballet.
Kessler is a professor in the UO School of Journalism and Communication and the author of seven other books of narrative nonfiction, including the Oregon Book Award winner Stubborn Twig. She is a member of the advisory group for the CSWS Northwest Women Writers Symposium.
