APA Recognizes Jennifer Freyd for Her Trauma Research

Congratulations to Jennifer Freyd, recent winner of the 2011 Outstanding Contributions to Science in Trauma Psychology Award given by the American Psychological Associations’s Division 56.

Freyd is a University of Oregon psychology professor and faculty affiliate of the UO Center for the Study of Women in Society. Her research incorporates cognitive, clinical, developmental and social / personality psychology as she explores the impacts of trauma, particularly betrayal trauma theory. The award recognizes distinguished contributions based on a particular discovery or for a sustained body of research and scholarship. Freyd is the fifth winner of the award.
