Over the summer, CSWS began work on a new podcast series called Kitchen Table, hosted by CSWS Director Michelle McKinley and Shoniqua Roach, assistant professor of African and African American Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Brandeis University.
As a feminist podcast that aims to “nourish the soul in troubled times,” the first season features interviews with leading researchers on the topic of black feminist ethics in the era of COVID-19. Many past CSWS event speakers are featured guests, including Marlo David, Purdue University; Tiffany Willoughby Herard, University of California—Irvine; Tiffany King, Georgia State University; Christen Smith, University of Texas—Austin; Rhaisa Williams, Washington University; and Mireille Miller Young, University of California—Santa Barbara.
The podcast is currently in post-production and is slated for release soon.
