Meagan “Maggie” Evans, a PhD candidate in the UO Department of English, has been awarded a Fall 2012 Oregon Humanities Center (OHC) Dissertation Fellowship for her dissertation “Sounding Silence: Twentieth-Century Feminist Poetic Innovation.”
Evans, who won the 2011 CSWS Jane Grant Dissertation Fellowship, said about the OHC award: “I am grateful for the financial support that will allow me to focus my energies on the task of unifying my dissertation research into a cohesive whole during my final quarter at the University of Oregon. I am also thrilled to have the chance to participate more fully in the OHC community.”
