Humboldt State University has chosen UO theatre professor Theresa May’s 2014 book Salmon Is Everything (OSU Press) as its 2015 / 2016 Book of the Year.
Humboldt State has a National Science Foundation (NSF) STEM grant for curriculum around the Klamath River, and Dr. May’s book will be part of the arts and humanities aspect. She will visit Humboldt State in late August to do a reading of the play with local actors, students, and tribal members.
An associate professor in the UO Department of Theatre Arts, Theresa May is a member of the CSWS Advisory Board. CSWS has supported Dr. May’s research on women and rivers with faculty research grants in 2010 and 2014.
