Jane Grant Conference Room
330 Hendricks Hall
We are pleased to invite you to the first meeting of the year of the Inclusive Pedagogies Research Interest Group supported by the Center for the Study of Women in Society.
Our first meeting will be Friday, Oct. 12, from 11-1 in the Jane Grant Conference Room at CSWS (Hendricks Hall Rm. 330).
As always, no preparation is necessary. We will spend the first 30 minutes reading UO statements and article excerpts about inclusive, engaged, and research-led teaching followed by a discussion where all are welcome to raise questions and share teaching strategies. All are invited.
Attendees will also get a preview of one of two books we’ll be reading together this year—Teaching Queer: Radical Possibilities for Writing and Knowing by Stacey Waite. We also invite suggestions for a book to read together in Spring Term. More details will be provided at the meeting.
Mark your calendar now for future meetings of the group: Nov. 9, Jan. 25, Feb. 22, April 19, and May 17. All regular meetings will be from 11-1 in the Jane Grant Room at CSWS.
An alternate session of the first meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 4-6 pm for those with MWF teaching schedules. More details are forthcoming.
We look forward to talking about inclusive teaching with you this year!
