Mai-Lin Cheng Receives Two Research Fellowships

CSWS faculty affiliate Mai-Lin Cheng was notified recently of an appointment as an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Fellow at The Huntington for a period of two months.

She also learned that she is the recipient of a UCLA Clark Memorial Library fellowship.

Both awards are for her new book project, “Autotopography: Place and Commonplace in Romanticism and After.”

Mai-Lin Cheng is an assistant professor of literature, Robert D. Clark Honors College. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Berkeley. Cheng joined the Clark Honors College in 2009 and now “spearheads the Honored Authors program, inviting three to four distinguished authors each year to come and speak directly with honors college students. She is an active member of the Clark Honors College student life committee, and a member of the University’s Women of Color project at the Center for the Study of Women in Society.”
