Apply now for Wayne Morse Center grants

Applications are now open for Wayne Morse Center Resident Scholar, Graduate Research Fellow, and Project Grant programs. The new theme for AY2021-23 is “Confronting the Carework Crisis.” Two Resident Scholar spots and three Graduate Research Fellowships are available for next year.

Resident Scholars
Each year the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics hosts two UO faculty members as Resident Scholars. This grant supports research related to the Center’s 2021-23 theme, “Confronting the Carework Crisis,” or its Program for Democratic Governance. Resident Scholars conduct research or other professional activities that contribute to the scholar’s own work and the Wayne Morse Center’s programs. Applications for the 2021-22 academic year are due by 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. Graduate Research Fellow
This $3,000 award supports UO graduate student research on the Wayne Morse Center’s 2021-23 theme, “Confronting the Carework Crisis,” or the priorities of the center’s Program for Democratic Governance as well as research on Wayne Morse as part of the Wayne Morse Monograph series. Applications for the 2021-22 academic year are due by 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. Project Grants
The Wayne Morse Center awards grants annually to community organizations, university faculty and departments, and student organizations to support projects, events and activities related to the Center’s two-year-long themes of inquiry. The theme for 2021-2023 is “Confronting the Carework Crisis.” Proposals for 2021-22 projects are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. Learn more and apply
